Satyin Taylor: After experience that was seen as psychosis, Satyin returned to university to complete his Psychology degree and then within 3 ½ years was employed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant on the ward he’d been admitted to. 10 years working on the wards of Hackney included qualifying as an OT and attending personally and professionally influential Psychosis & Spirituality conferences organised in 2000 & 2001 by Isabel Clarke. Satyin then worked for 8 years where he continued to develop and encourage Hearing Voices Groups alongside his core CBT for Psychosis role in a Community Mental Health Team.

Keen to both stay and survive in the NHS, in 2016 Satyin became a Chaplain in NELFT (where he is training in Peer Supported Open Dialogue) and Buddhist Coordinator / Deputy Team Leader in ELFT Department of Spiritual, Religious Cultural Care. In 2007 he established and continues to co-facilitate the London Group of http://spiritualcrisisnetwork.uk/  He’s done project work inside and outside the Ugandan mental health system and has an active interest in traditional/spiritual healing approaches (currently linking with East London Islamic healers). Satyin is a member of Triratna Buddhist Order.
