Spiritual Conversations Working Alongside Adolescent Patients suffering from Anorexia Nervosa.
Join us for this important talk about the rise in referrals for Child & Adolescent Eating Disorders Services during the pandemic and how Anorexia Nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric illness.
The talk will be taking place on Thursday 18th March at 6:15 pm, on Zoom
Elizabeth Anscombe will explain the link to depression and loss and how some young people with the illness have lost hope in life and relationships. She will explain how the psychotherapeutic work seeks to help the young person feel understood, gives an opportunity to think about the meaning of life, and help them think about how to build hope for their future, understanding that this is a world where they can make a meaningful contribution.
